Ottawa Morning with Robyn Bresnahan
Monthly walking group for dads.

When Nathan Morris first became a dad, one thing he didn’t expect about fatherhood was feeling a bit lonely. We hear how those early experiences sparked Nathan to find a new way for dads to connect.

1. Next walks:

  • Glebe walk: Saturday, Nov. 5, 9 am. Meet at Wild Oat Bakery (819 Bank St.)

  • Gloucester walk: Saturday, Nov 19, 9 am. Meet at Tim Hortons (2134 Montreal Rd.)

2. Weekly "accountability club" Zoom calls to
help each dad achieve their unique goals (sign up by requesting to join using the email icon on this website).

3. Monthly challenges for members to explore aspects of parenting, health, fitness, and personal growth:

  • November: How do emotions affect our eating and drinking choices?

  • December: Thinking back to what you've accomplished with your kids over the year

The walking club is open to all dads (including grandads -- they are dads with adult children!).

To participate in the weekly Zoom "accountability club" calls, simply apply for free membership (use the email icon) and follow four simple rules:

  1. respect;

  2. confidentiality;

  3. giving all members a fair chance to speak; and

  4. staying on parenting, health, fitness, and personal growth-related topics.
